Victoria’s Secret model Doutzen Kroes had a baby right around the same time as her fellow supermodel Miranda Kerr so we’ve been waiting for some time now to see her get back to work. Doutzen Kroes is seriously putting the super into supermodel! Just six weeks after giving birth to her son Phyllon, she is already heading back to work. A few days ago, Doutzen announced via Twitter that she was prepping for her comeback. Now, Doutzen is in LA to shoot a commercial for L’Oreal. She says: Hello LA;) my first workday since a long time tomorrow #l’oreal Doutzen is steadily tweeting through the shoot, even posting a picture of herself breast feeding her son! What is with these Victoria’s Secret girls and maternal Twitter photos? At the rate Doutzen is going, she’ll surely be back in fighting form to walk the runway for Victoria’s Secret later this year.

Model Doutzen Kroes and her husband, DJ Sunnery James, introduced their 1-week-old son on his own Twitter account Friday.

“Here is my picture! Thanks to daddy and mommy,” read the post, purportedly from the newborn.

Kroes, 25, and James, who wed in November, welcomed their baby boy on Friday, Jan. 21 in Amsterdam.

Victoria’s Secret model Doutzen Kroes has given birth to her first son, a boy she and DJ husband Sunnery James have named Phyllon Gorre.

The Dutch Victoria’s Secret beauty – who has modelled for Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino and Versace, gave birth to her son in Amsterdam on Friday (21.01.11) and revealed she is “full of excitement” at becoming a mother for the first time.

Doutzen – who is married to DJ Sunnery James told People: “I’m full of excitement and will enjoy my time with Phyllon and Sunnery.”

She also tweeted: “Thank you all for your sweet messages! Becoming a mom is the best thing ever!”

Sunnery wrote of his own joy on his twitter page saying: “We’re in love with him! Can’t describe this feeling! Phyllon (pronounce: Fillen) is in our life!”

“Thaanks for all the love! Getting some sleep now ….Peace!!

“Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! #speechlessssssss (sic).”

The couple married in November in Doutzen’s hometown of Eastermar, in the province of Friesland in the Netherlands.

The 26-year-old model is a champion of the fuller figure and returned to the fashion catwalks in 2010 when she appeared in a Prada show at Milan Fashion Week with fellow Angels Alessandra Ambrosio and Miranda Kerr. The show was widely praised for its use of more womanly models rather than just the more traditional young sample size girls.

AskMen’s Tarek Hijazi caught up with the 5’10” Victoria’s Secret Angel to talk charity, acting and being one of the world’s fastest-rising supermodels.

What do you enjoy most about being a model?

Doutzen Kroes : I love this job! It gives me the chance to travel to some amazing places. I really value the fact that we are able to represent different kinds of women from all over the world.

Do you find that being a beauty icon is a big responsibility?

DK : Yes, because, naturally, it makes you a role model. I like to take care of myself and know what foods I should be eating. It is good to be educated in this way and also to work out and keep fit; it’s a bit like being an athlete.

Is it an advantage?

DK : I think so, yes. I feel blessed and I know that I was lucky to be born this way. But I also feel that it is important to do good things with my beauty. I don’t want to take it for granted.

How would you describe your lifestyle?

DK : I take really good care of my body. I try to sleep as much as I can, and I go to the gym a lot because my body enjoys a good work out. I keep my skin hydrated, and I avoid eating too many sweets or too much chocolate. In any job, you have to give up certain things, and I believe that having a good quality of life means enjoying certain things only in moderation. I love my job, and so I could never complain about making these sacrifices.

How do you react when people recognize you?

DK : It’s amazing! My name isn’t very well-known and so it is incredible to hear people screaming it in Cannes; it’s really special. I love the experience. I am able to really enjoy the positive attention I receive.

You met Jane Fonda recently…

DK : Yes, we had lunch together with a group of other people. She’s a true icon for my parents’ generation. I grew up knowing that and then, all of a sudden, I found myself sitting next to her! It was like a dream come true, and I have a lot of respect for Jane. I also have a great deal of respect for some other big names, like Beyonce and Bono.

Last year, you said that you weren’t interested in becoming an actress. Have you changed your mind?

DK : I don’t think I would turn down an offer, but I also don’t think I’m ready for it just yet! I’m very busy with modeling at the moment, and I would definitely want to take a few more acting classes before I did any serious acting.

What pleasures do you enjoy most during photo shoots?

DK : Lots of things make me happy. For example, it always makes me laugh to have 20 people inspecting me to check that everything is just right! I also enjoy traveling for my work, and I like to embrace different cultures from around the world as much as possible.

Do you have a lot of control over your image?

DK : Yes, I talk to my agency a lot about the direction I want to take with my work. I talk to them about my image. I am able to get involved with the products I choose and be a real part of the projects I work on, which is incredible.

How do you feel about the competitive aspect of modeling?

DK : I don’t really think about it. I never really feel competitive or jealous of other girls, and I’m genuinely happy for them when they’re doing well for themselves. I’m very happy with my own life, and I always like to think that other people are happy for me too.

You do a lot of charity work…

DK : Yes, I work with Dance4Life. I try to do as much as I can with them. It is easy to just send money, but I went to Tanzania in August, 2009 and saw some of the organization’s project work there. I am really keen to get involved in supporting education for kids in Africa. It’s something that I feel very strongly about.
